LF>/R> Events Manager!

Hi guildies,

Even though I really enjoy making & running events, time has shown that I have not been great at making them enjoyable for everyone. This is mainly due to unrefined events being ran purely for testing purposes. Bearing this in-mind, and my promise to make events a regular thing within Athena! read on below!

So as the title says, I'm looking for an events manager. The right person would be able to do the following on a weekly/fortnightly basis:

-Design events
-Run events
-Inform members/advertise the event in-game & on the forum

Said person will be paid a NX salary IF the events are properly designed and organized!

We can only have ONE events manager, I will however choose three applicants(if more than 3 apply), and then their events shall be ran and the result of those events alongside a guild vote shall determine who gets the job!

Just saying, I'm doing this 50% for the nx, 25% because I want to get to know other guildies, 20% cause I think I can do it well and another 5% for random feelings and stuff. I hate knowing how an event works because it feels a bit old to me, and furthermore I dislike being unable to compete in them. But the NX-lol.

- What you could bring to us in terms of events (3 detailed ideas):
>Murder Mystery: Out of a list of participants, one is selected to be a "murderer". Each participant is given one clue, to which they may disclose or keep secret. If one decides to share, they may choose to tell the truth, or lie about their clue, but the key is that ONLY the hints given by the event coordinator are KNOWN to be true.

As an additional twist, if the murderer yells out "MURDER MOST FOUL" in the presence of a participant, and declaring that person's name, that member is forced to retire immediately and cannot give hints. If there are mutiple participants there, however, other participants may solve the mystery.

The objective of the murderer is to stall out the game as long as possible, spreading confusion and "murdering" people when they get to close, where the objective of others is to cooperate, but still be the fastest in discovering the murderer.

Thus, there will be two prize pools, an incremental pool for the murderer based on stalling time, and one for the solving of the mystery. If the murderer can stall up to 2 participants, they will auto-win (as it would be known from the hints that the other person is the murderer)

Got old equipment that used to be godly, but is sub par now? Old fashion items you no longer use? Donate them to Athena's Recycling fund, to which the proceeds will go to outfitting out newer players. Items donations are preferred, but gold may be used to substitute. Item recommendations are encouraged, and the donator has the option of setting requirements for donations, i.e. recipient must be under X level, joined guild for X weeks, etc.

>Athena World Cup Soccer

This is an arena event. one player (probably the event manager) is designated to be the "ball", and assigned to the red team. Participants will be assigned to the "blue" team and only allowed to attack the "ball".

The objective of the game is to hit the ball over to the wall designated as the goal for your team. To facilitate this process, participants will be asked to wear robes the color of their secondary team (primary team being the blue team, for the structure of the game). Eligible skills are: Windmill, Smash, Charge, Assault slash, Fireball, Firebolt, thunder, thunderbolt, icebolt. Any other skill will be considered a foul, and the offending member will be given a yellowcard, or redcard if a blatant violation of the rules. In the event the ball dies, it will be considered a ring out and the game will resume wherever the ball spawns (Thought the ball should make an effort to respawn in a fair position)


- Why/how you are suitable to this position:
I am suitable for this position because i am extremely active, and able to host events flexibly and often. I also have creativity, planning several of the previous event and giving input on earlier events, and the mechanics behind them. While I am a fairly emotional person, it is also my sense of justice that makes me motivated to arbitrate disagreements and seek justice.


- What interests you most about this position:

The NX admittedly, lol. I have a life outside Athena, and NX would help me enjoy it.

Setting up events helps me understand other guildies though- you can learn a lot about people just by playing with them. Making memories is my primary interest. Things that people remember throughout their life, things that people will remember when they think of when they played mabinogi.

Kevin, if you'd like to start arranging an event for the guildies, we'll get things rolling. Once the event has gone ahead and is over with, we'll have a guild vote to determine the outcome for the position.
