Change of Leadership Empty Change of Leadership

Post  Kamikazex91 Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:06 am

A few of us have discussed among each other on this topic. We have noticed that Juno (Shizuhara) has been very busy with his personal life. Furthermore, Zephy (Kiraya) also mentioned that he is currently very busy with work. Toshiku, Ikimasho, and I just discussed on changing leadership roles and a few others regarding it. Toshi says she is well funded and is able to support the guild as leader of the guild. According to her, she's very interested in leading a guild and hold multiple events along the way.

This might take some time to adjust from all members of this guild however this is a suggestion from me and a few others for long term planning. Replies and opinions are highly appreciated.

Change of Leadership Empty Re: Change of Leadership

Post  Toshiku Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:19 am

I would kindly volunteer to fund and run the guild while needed. I have over a year's worth of service already purchased, I'm probably the most active member (even with classes) atm, I can fund and create/run events (see the post I just made about a new event, also), and I have a few ideas spare related to the guild.

I've been a member of Athena since March 2012, and loved every bit of my time here. Possibly the best guild I've been a part of, and I love the "family system" we all seem to have here. I do understand, however, how important it is that the members have their say, so know that, by no account, am I volunteering myself for personal gain - I want to do my best by you all and the guild in general, and I guess this is just my way of saying that I can and will if I'm needed.

Also to Zeph and Juno:

Don't take this post as personal judgements against you both, I just think people are discussing this purely because they have recognized how busy you both are. We appreciate the work you have both done, specifically Zeph as of late, still remaining around for us all despite having a busy schedule to deal with, etc.

And I also just want to say that despite the outcome to this post, I will be running guild events from now on accordingly - let's get our Athenian games on! hehe~

As a side note, I think Flamexel or Sky should be put forward for these roles as well if they both agree they could.

We need everyone opinion on this. For me this is not a bad idea but we need the guild to approve all of this and well we need the leaders to give us their opinion.

Change of Leadership Empty More on this topic.

Post  Ikimasho Mon Apr 22, 2013 3:42 pm

This is by no means an act of mutiny against our leaders. The case in point is that we want to improve the Athenian experience for our current members and our potential members in the future. Personally I still see Juno as our guild leader - he's the member I talked to when I applied for Athena. As much as most of us want to enjoy our "fantasy lives", we need to enjoy our actual lives and do what needs to be done. Most of our members are currently focusing on their studies which doesn't give them a lot of time to log in. Logging in is definitely a significant factor in being part of the guild, but flexibility is an important factor as well.
We have:
Members who log in everyday
Members who log in every now and then
Members who log in when they have time on their hands.

The decision will not be made until we gather all the guildies (which includes Juno and Zephy). Until we get to that bridge, more input would be appreciated.

Toshi for president Guild Leader!

Basically, the guild is only alive because people log on. Usually it isn't a problem because other people will fill the silence, but when it's a leader, other things happen-like the recent disappearing of the guild stone, and possible (theoretically) the halting of new recruits altogether.

I support the change in leadership, on the condition that both Juno and Zephy can take over if they so desire, within a reasonable time of 1-2 months. This guild was founded on their ideals, and It'd be an entirely new guild if we abandoned them-not saying if it'll improve or degrade, but it's not what the guild was made for.

As a side note, I think Flamexel or Sky should be put forward for these roles as well if they both agree they could.

I refuse. I don't act responsibly enough to represent our guild, let alone be the leader. I will be around to help though

I agree that a change in leadership would be a good idea, but it should be temporary until Zephy and Juno aren't as busy.
Also, we really need more people to share their opinion on this.

I agree, anyone that sees this page, tell the guildies to give it the one-over. x3

And Shadow, it was always a temporary idea. Very Happy

Zephy wanted me to pass this all to you. He said he is open for leadership change.

None taken~

As it stands, I became leader some 7? years ago because I was eager to improve the guild and had the time/money to keep things running. Right now, while I still want to see Athena thrive, I can't commit the time for mabinogi. It has a way of devouring my hours no matter how carefully I schedule it. It makes sense to me that someone else should take over as leader, so I'm not going to get upset if everyone else realizes that as well xD

Aw..Juno. >w<

Well, I guess the only question left that everyone is wondering about the entire decision: Would you/do you plan on returning to leader some day in the future? x] Like I said above, I don't mind and am capable of being leader when I'm needed. ^_^;

I'm pretty sure, 100% Zephy will stay Officer, as he's still relatively active even with having the new job.

I hope all is well for you, also~ :3

I'm actually shipping out to New York in a little over a week to work for the summer. I don't know if I'll be bringing my computer yet, nor if there will be internet. In other words, Mabi is still out of reach for the foreseeable future.

Aww.. >.< we're gonna miss you! we'll keep Athena in good condition, of course. x)

By the way, I have a feeling Zeph might want to speak to you before anything goes ahead with the leader change, if that's what you've definitely decided.

I don't think Tosh would mind if she was the leader of the guild.

On another note, I would like to appoint senior members too.

I'd gladly take over as leader of Athena, like I said before. I have the money, and even more so, the time and dedication. x)

Who did you have in-mind for senior members? Surprised + Has anyone heard from Flameypooh? D:

Juno, whenever you are ready, can you please pass the lead to Toshiku? I will retain my position as sub leader.

As for senior members, I have some people in mind but I would like some input in this. As for those who don't get selected, don't think that I didn't choose you cause I didn't like you. I have had that happen to me before. I do want a mutual understanding in the selection. Tosh, can you help me decide on this too?

Of course. And once the lead has been passed over, we can get things rolling with the meetings and such, too~ also, I hope Juno is able to check back before he leaves for NYC, the whole summer is a long time without the leading role. I'm worried in-case we need leadership to remedy something that an officer otherwise cannot.. >.<
